My name is Brittany aka Luv. I am married to a wonderful man, John David aka Luvy. We are from the hills of East Tennessee. Currently, we live outside of Louisville, KY.
I have a passion for fitness, food, family, friends, travel, and my faith. My faith is something that defines me, as you will see in this blog.
I went to college at Carson-Newman for 3 years before transferring to East Tennessee State University. I graduated with a BS-DH in dental hygiene, and now work at as a dental hygienist. Most people think this is gross, and I’m okay with that.
John David and I married in May of 2008, and I moved up with him to Kentucky. Now, I am working on my master’s degree at the University of Louisville.
Since my junior year of college, I have been a very health conscious eater. I always ate lots of fruits and vegetables and limited eating fast food. My first year at ETSU, I began the Hallelujah Diet and went completely vegan. I have always been lactose intolerant and never really liked meat, so this was an easy transition for me.
After the wedding, I started getting sick after I ate. Early 2010, things began to take a turn for the worse. I was extremely nauseous after eating anything. After a series of tests, I had to have my gallbladder removed. Since then, I have still had several issues.
Now, I am meeting regularly with a dietician, Sandra Meyerowitz, MPH, RD, LD www.smartnutritionworks.com. We decided the MRT or Leap test would be beneficial for me. Check it out at www.nowleap.com.
This test completely changed my eating patterns. I have added salmon, eggwhites, and several other foods I have never heard of or considered! I am just beginning the program, so I’m taking all of you on this journey with me.
Join me on my journey toward health through nutrition, running, and exercise.
This is Delights and Delectables. I hope you enjoy what you find here!
Aww, your black and white picture brings back a ton of memories!
http://www.nowleap.com. <= this web site you posted has nothing to do with the MRT or Leap test.
Joe, Thanks for commenting! I just checked the site again, and it is the LEAP testing website that I used. There are several different testing companies. This just happens to be the one that I used. Thanks again!
