Blend: The Finale!

Okay, so this is the last of my Blend posts.  I hope you all aren’t sick of them yet.  I had so much fun that I can’t stand to leave any of it out!!

I couldn’t believe how fast the weekend went by!  Come Sunday morning, I felt like our time together should just be getting started!  A few of the girls live fairly close by, so I am hoping that we can all get together sometime!

Chobani led our bootcamp Sunday morning.  I haven’t ever been a fan of workouts first thing in the morning, but I loved it with these girls!  I have found myself missing these workouts!

Chobani also provided us breakfast!  They were also our main sponsor for the retreat!  I was so jealous that I couldn’t enjoy the Chobani all weekend, but I didn’t want to be sick from dairy all weekend either!

I was loving the Love Grown Granola with my oatmeal!  So yummy! Too bad I couldn’t have taken all the Chobani home to Luvy…

It was nice to hang out with all my new friends.  It is so nice to meet some of the girls that I have read their blogs for a year or more!  It is also nice to meet people who you know that you will connect with for years to come!

After breakfast, there was a raffle.  I won a free blog header by Zesty Blog Consulting!  It was really cool that everyone won something!

It was so sad saying bye to all these girls!  We had too much fun!!

That afternoon, Lindsay, Bobbi, and I hung out before getting all dressed up to go out into Denver.

Lindsay and her hubby were so sweet to show us around.

We ended up eating at Breckenridge Brewery in downtown Denver.  I got a gluten-free veggie burger with sweet potato fries!  YUM!

Then it was time for fro-yo!!  I am loving that they have a dairy free sorbet at most fro-yo places!!

I was so sad to say goodbye to everyone, but I am already looking forward to next year.  I just wish we could do this more often, or that these girls lived closer!!

So, who have I talked into going next year???

Happy Weekend!!

Kick My Booty: Blend Recap Part 2

Before I get into the recap, 2 things:

1. I’m still exhausted.  All I want to do is read everyone’s blogs and play on the computer, but I have a big girl job so that will have to wait for the weekend.

2. Luvy taught a class today, and one of his students addressed him as “Luvy”.  I about DIED!  I’m afraid I have started something….  :)

Okay so back to Blend…

You all are going to be so sick of hearing about Blend that you all will have to come join us next year!

Bright and early we had bootcamp led by Lindsay and Tina.  These girls did an awesome job!

Fitmixer brought us aminos to drink before and after our workout.  This stuff is incredible!  I’ve been drinking it like crazy since I have been home!  I need more!!

After bootcamp, Xagave sponsored our breakfast!  It was incredible!  They did a fantastic job, and I can’t wait to tell you more about them and their product here soon!

I ate a ton. This times 2.  Whoops..

With all the activity we were doing, I needed the fuel!  Our next activity was a hike at Chautauqua Park.  It was a 4 mile hike, but it was pretty intense.  The Simply Bar gave us all protein bars to help fuel our hike!  The chocolate peanut butter one was awesome!

The views were amazing!  Can you tell we were a bunch of bloggers hiking??

My knee started to act up around 1 mile in, so a group of us ended up turning around about a ½ mile from the end.  I was so bummed we didn’t make it to the top, but I could barely walk by the time we got down. Think in all we hiked 3.25 miles out of the 4.

For lunch, Lindsay, Bobbi, and I ran out to the farmer’s market to grab a quick lunch.

We had a free yoga class thanks to Core Power Yoga.  It was really great for my knee, because it was a really good stretch.

At this point, I felt disgusting!  We were in desperate need of a shower!  After the best shower of my life, we went to Pearl Street in downtown Boulder to find a place to eat.  We ended up going to Trattoria an Italian place that was highly recommended.  I was amazed at how vegan and gluten friendly all the places in Denver/ Boulder was!

I ended up getting a salad with salmon on it for the protein!  It was incredible!  Lindsay got a pizza and it was much bigger than any of us anticipated!

Isn’t she so cute?!?  Once we were done eating, we met up with everyone else at a really cool Mexican place since it was Cinco de Mayo.  Here is a shot of Lindsay, me, Lindsay, Bobbi, and Janetha.

The girls were so sweet.  It was so encouraging to hang out with a bunch of girls who have the same interests as me and are so genuinely nice!  Plus, none of made fun of my pimp limp I had going on due to my knee!  ha!

We got in late Saturday night, and we still had bootcamp at 7am Sunday!

Promise, tomorrow is the last you will hear of Blend…. Maybe. :)  Well, at least until next year!

Hope y’alls week is going well!!  Who’s glad the week is 1/2 over??  I sure am!

Blending with Love

Hey friends!

Have I told y’all how awesome Blend was??  :)  Since the trip was so action packed, I am going to break it up into 2-3 different posts just so that I don’t overwhelm you all.

This was the first time I have taken a girls trip since before I was married!  It was so fun just to hang out with the girls, make new friends, and just relax.  Plus, I had never been to Colorado.  I think I am in love with that area.  It is BEAUTIFUL!

Okay, back to the trip….  Maddie and Alex were so sweet to pick up their Love Grown Bloggers at the airport in the Love Bus.  Since Bobbi is a Love Grown Blogger, they let me tag along!  :)

Our first stop was the Love Pad where their office is and where they used to make their granola!

Can you believe that they used to make their granola here??  The entire office still smells wonderful.

Our next stop was the factory where they make Love Grown Granola.  They also make Larabar, Justin’s Nut Butter, and a ton more.  I was so impressed with the plant!  They are completely wind powered and so environmentally friendly.  Plus, we got to eat a Larabar right off of the line (heaven!), see Love Grown being made, and we actually got to meet Justin!  I thought Sarah was going to pass out!  They also hooked us up with some goodies made at the plant!

I couldn’t believe how sweet Maddie and Alex were!  They are so passionate about their product.  It makes me so much more excited to support Love Grown!

After the tour, we checked in and changed clothes for the dinner.  This was at Chautauqua Park.  It felt so nice to get into different clothes after being on a plane all day.  This is Lindsay, Bobbi, and I.(Dress courtesy of my sweet friend, Jenna!)

Lindsay and her husband, Brian, were so sweet to let me stay at their house with Bobbi!  The three of them went to high school together.  Lindsay is 16 weeks pregnant, and such a sweet person!!

You know when you meet someone and you make an instant connection?  That happened several times this trip, but Sarah and I made a very special connection!  I’m so glad that we met!

We finally sat down, dinner was served, and then after we had cupcakes!  The bakery even made vegan and gluten-free ones!  Score!!  There were so many different kinds.  I chose S’more, Coffee Cinnamon, and Peanut Butter Pretzel.  The Coffee Cinnamon was def my favorite!

After dinner we headed back to Lindsay’s house, because we had 7am bootcamp!

Saturday was a jam-packed day, but you will have to wait until tomorrow for that.  I miss my Blend friends already, but it is so nice to be home with Luvy!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday!

Have any of you been to a fun retreat like this?
