When I saw that Live with Kelly was doing a Coast to Coast Co-Host search, I KNEW I wanted to apply.  I love Live with Kelly… it’s on now… and I LOVE Kelly Ripa.  Not is a creepy stalkerish way…  I watch the show every morning.  It is my sanity.  She is like my cup of coffee for the day!

Anywho, if I make it to the 100 finalists, I will need y’alls help to get everyone you know to vote for me!!  Mmmmkay??  This weekend if I can figure out how to upload a video, I’ll put it on here for y’all to see.  I have no pride left…  :)

Let’s just hope Live with Kelly loves my southern accent as much as Luvy does!

In other news, Luvy and I went out to eat last night with our sweet friend Jenna at Outback!

Jenna house sits for us when we got out of town, so we wanted to treat her last night.  It was so wonderful catching up with her!!

Isn’t she a beauty??  She’s single guys….  ;)

This weekend, I am going to be working hard on school work and getting everything ready for next week.  What’s next week you ask??

Daddy is coming to visit!  :)

So, please excuse me if I’m a little MIA this weekend.

What do you all have going on this weekend?

Does anyone else watch Live with Kelly every morning?

We Made It!

We are here!

I have missed you guys.  I was only away for a day and I feel so out of the loop!  A million thanks to sweet Ashley for her guest post!

Luvy and I road tripped to TN yesterday.  We got to see Daddy for a little bit last night before heading out this morning.

This morning, we caught a plane from Knoxville to Florida.

It was a bit cool when we left Tennessee, but we were greeted by the sun and heat in Florida.  Ahhhhh…. I already feel more relaxed.  We had a bit of a drive to our desination, so we stopped right outside of the Orlando airport to eat at Sweet Tomatoes.

Luvy and I had never eaten there before, but it was really good.  I was impressed with the salad bar.

I got a big salad, plus gluten free veggie soup and a sweet potato!

Luvy got all kinds of goodies.  We got our bellies happy then hit the road again!

Once we started getting closer, I started getting excited.

Very excited.  Lol…

IMG 0838

I have no shame.  :)

We are now all checked into our little condo.  I could get used to having this as my scenery everyday.

We also have “friends” that live outside.  I do not like our friends.  If one runs across my foot or worse… cuddles up with me on my chair, I will scream.

These guys are EVERYWHERE!

However, I’ll take it.  After all, this is my view for the next few days!  We are off to my FAVORITE restaurant here.

Has anyone guessed where I am yet???  (Mom- don’t answer that… it isn’t fair!  :) )

Where is your favorite get-away spot?

Zen Garden

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Personally, I am never ready for Mondays… ever.  :)  However, this week is going to be a great week!

For starters, I have a skype meeting tomorrow morning to discuss some changes that are going to be taking place on the blog.  :)  Plus, Thursday is our  4 year anniversary!  I can’t believe it has been 4 years!

I think I know what I’m making… this or this.  Luvy’s choice of course.  :)

Luvy and I love to go out to eat and explore new restaurants.  Especially now that my stomach issues have settled down and I’m able to eat more!

I have been wanting to try Zen Garden on Frankfort Avenue here in Louisville for a long time, and so we did on Friday night.  Zen Garden is a vegetarian restaurant, and I’m super blessed with a hubby who doesn’t mind to eat vegetarian!

It was awesome!  It was a super cozy restaurant, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.  Plus it got rave reviews on Urbanspoon! Zen Garden on Urbanspoon

Luvy and I ordered 2 entrees that we could split.  When we go new places, I LOVE getting two things and splitting them.  Maybe this is because I can never make up my mind on what to order…  :)  He ordered the Curry Soup entree.

It was MUCH bigger than we expected.  :)

Per the waitress’ recommendation, I got the Crispy Shiitake Mushrooms with brown rice instead of white.

Neither of them were disappointing.  I usually don’t go for really glazey meals like the entrée I ordered, but I really liked it!

I had a bit of trouble with the soup..

I kept forgetting to take my spoon out of the soup, and so it kept sinking in.

After three times, I finally caught on!  Our sweet server felt sorry for me and brought more napkins..  Whoops.

(Notice my awesome Blend shirt??)  Don’t judge how I look, I had been running errands and cleaning all day.  :)

As if the restaurant wasn’t awesome enough, they made both of our meals completely gluten-free!  They were super accommodating.

Zen Garden will certainly be on our regular rotation!

What great restaurants have you tried lately?

Do you like to share entrees or have one of your own?
