The nausea came back today. It was getting better, but now it is back.
I finally broke down and went to the doctor. After 45 minutes, they told me what I had already told them… I’m not pregnant. It took 45 minutes to tell me what I already know??? My lunch break isn’t that long folks… They really don’t know what it is, so they just threw some drugs at me and told me that if it doesn’t get better in 1 week to come back.
I believe that America is over medicated. There I said it. We just pop a pill for everything. We get a headache and we take Tylenol, ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve…. and on and on. Sometimes we need to allow the body to run its course and fight off what it is trying to kill. Now I’m not saying that if you are diagnosed with a serious illness or you need antibiotics or medication that you shouldn’t take it! I have 2 doctors in my family, and I’m certainly not against doctors or medication. However, I think that we need to stop taking medicine for ever little problem we have.
I have decided to treat my nausea with healthy food. Also, I know that food allergies can sometimes cause nausea, so I’m going to limit the foods that I am allergic to. I recently reintroduced cucumbers to my diet, so the first thing I did was cut those back out. I didn’t have any cucs today, so I’m going to leave them out and see how I feel.
I’ve been juicing like a mad woman!! Pushing those antioxidants and good nutrients in that flush toxins out!
Besides, we all know that serving juice in a power T cup makes it even more nutritious!
I’ve also been cooking up some healthy plant-based protein meals with lots and lots of veggies!
I made Emily’s Green Bean and Lentil salad that I made on the 4th. So quick, easy, and delicious! Plus, I roasted sweet potatoes, carrots, and beets on 425 for about 25 minutes. I served them on top of steamed kale with pecans and craisins!
Super nutrient dense meal! Just what Luvy needed for studying, and what my body needed for healing!
Tomorrow, I’m going to try to exercise and see if that helps any as well. I’m ready to ninja kick this nausea!
Tonight I have a very special request. I am asking you all to stop whatever you are doing and pray. We need to ask God, the great physician for healing.
Tonight, I discovered that my sweet college roommate’s son has cancer. He is only 10 months old! My immediate reaction was that this wasn’t fair, and she, her husband, and her son don’t deserve to go through this. This I was reminded of God’s promises. Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Lord, we pray for healing and peace. Please help us to trust you in these circumstances. Give wisdom to the doctors, and surround this family with your love.
I love you, Roomie!
Please pray for this family at this time. (I have not yet asked permission to share their names or photos. I will share them as soon as I get permission!)
