The Simply Bar Review and Giveaway

I don’t typically like protein bars, but I fell in LOVE with The Simply Bar at Blend.

The Simply Bar was unlike any protein bar I have ever had.  When they contacted me and asked if I wanted to do a review and giveaway on the blog, I was more than happy!

When Luvy and I were at the beach, we both ate The Simply Bar for snacks or for a meal replacement when we were on the go.  Even Luvy approved of these bars, which is huge!

They sent me their 4 most popular flavors to review:

Lemon Coconut- At first I didn’t think I would like this one.  It seemed like an odd pairing, but I was so wrong!  It is extremely light and refreshing!

Caramel Peanut- Love.  Having a dairy allergy, I usually can’t eat caramel.  This was a treat for me.

Cinnamon Pecan- This was Luvy’s favorite.  I loved how the cinnamon didn’t over-power the other flavors.

Chocolate Peanut Butter- I love anything that is a combination of chocolate and peanut butter!!

All of the bars were perfectly sweetened.  They were just lightly sweet, and they were super filling.

I love these bars, because they are made with all natural ingredients.. no words I can’t pronounce!  Plus, all have less than 10 ingredients. Cathy Richards created the Simply Bars, because she has Crohn’s Disease and she had a hard time finding snacks that didn’t upset her stomach.

At first, I was a little leery about this, because most high protein bars upset my stomach, but these didn’t!  I also loved that each bar has 16g of protein, under 3g sugar, 2-4g fat, and 160 calories or less!  They use soy crisps that are non-GMO and organic brown rice syrup.  Everything they use is gluten-free, vegan, and low GI!

Anywho, enough of my ramblings.  The people at the Simply Bar is so nice that they are going to give one reader their very own sample box containing one of each of their top 4 flavors!!

To enter: go to their website, and tell me what flavor you would like to try.

  1. Wow, the nutrition facts for these bars are impressive! I’m sold! I think cinnamon pecan will be my favorite also, but who knows? I shall try them =)
I’m going to their website right now!

  2. Nice that they are vegan! I just assumed this would be another bar I couldn’t try. I would definitely like the peanut butter chocolate one and maybe the chocolate raspberry?

    Thank you!

  3. This is the only protein bar I love! Seriously. I am much more of a “make my own snack” kind of girl, but I WILL have the Simply Bar. I really wish you got to try the coffee cocoa one though 😦 I should send you one in the mail so you can try it! I wonder if they even make this flavour anymore!? It was by far the best one! So, that would be the flavour I would like to try 🙂 However, I haven’t tried that pecan one and that sounds quite tasty 🙂

  4. Hey Brit!
I am a ‘secret’ blog follower and never comment but love to read. Anyway, I have looked at these bars which seem pretty good (except of course 2 of the flavors are out of the question because of my peanut allergy). But I was wondering if you have read anything about organic brown rice syrup having high levels of arsenic? I have heard a couple of reports about that and now I’m freaking about all these organic products that have that as a main ingredient. I know you are very informed about healthy eating and would love to know if you’ve heard anything.

    • I’m glad you are a “secret” follower. 🙂 I’ll e-mail you my thoughts on brown rice syrup… so much easier than typing it all out on here!! 🙂

  5. As you know, I’ve tried these at Blend! The lemon coconut is my favorite, but I definitely want to try the Carmel Peanut. This post just reminded me to order a box for my upcoming vacation!
